Not to mention, Latin was certainly not the "language used in ancient times". Latin's use is relatively recent, in the course of human history. And there has never been just "one language" used for all civilizations.

This, by the way, isn't a question for the intellectuals. It's a question for the academia who might be on the board; more specifically, academia versed in Ancient Greek linguistics. Sweet PHD right there, lemme tell ya!
