agreed

a car alarm is just a sound... and a sound cannot shoot bullets or beat someone up

REMEMBER ITS ONLY A SOUND!

Sux what happened. F'n a$$holes...

Regarding detachable faces:

I used to have detachable face, but not any more. Friend of mine left the face on just ONE night and some jerk busted his window and tore out his gear shift just to get his middle of the line SONY CD player! They couldn't get the deck out b/c the shifter was in the way, so they just broke the shifter off! He could not even drive it, had to get it towed!

I have an Eclipse CD deck now.. It has ESN = electronic serial number, so it's tracable. Also, if the power is cut, the next time you power it up it asks for a KEY CD before it will work again. You choose a KEY CD (any audio CD) when you set it up. Not a bad solution, I think... (just don't leave your KEY CD in the car!)

---

I wish someone would combine an alarm system with a tazer gun, so you can shock the hell out of a would-be thief! Or you could "forget" to disarm it and take out your friends or girlfriend... hey, wait a minute, that could be really useful!

Thanks Guys and Girls

thanks for the support guys , reading all your comments made me feel better , only joking.

Im getting things sorted out now , My locks are still busted and the central locking system is still fucked and its to expensive to get fixed , as i am going through a financial struggle at the moment. I hada CD Carry case in the car and 1 in my bedroom, one was full of CDR's and one was full of originals, I was releaved when they were the CDR's. A Few originals got broke tho, pvd and oakie CD's.

I like Phazon idea , go and get the bastards, but unfortunatley they know where i live and they will just come round and do something else if you know what i mean. I am having CCTV Fitted on my house watching the cars , also wiring it upto the VCR recording 24/7. My friend can make the cd player electricute someone if they touch any of the wires at the back, as they won't be earthed etc. Hopefully the next victim will die of the car battery running through is body.

Yes if i do catch someone doing anything to my stuff , its out with my shotgun , yes i do have one and i have just bought some shells , ill let the ****** bleed for days , like in Pulp Fiction. I get paid £1000 in 15 days , should get some new ICE then and maybe a fucking AK47 and a few Zines.

! Dont let em , ruin your life ' take ya shit outta ya car '

What a bunch of ****s!

Yet another breakin story! Sorry, I feel it is my duty to respond to these all the time, since I have been there twice!

Rozzer....first thing's first, not to hurt your feelings, but what are you doing spending money on ICE first without getting the whole car insured...3rd party is not enough...my old 1992 GTI is fully covered. Dude....forget the ICE for now...do not replace it until that shit is fully insured.

Next alarms are necessary to make it MORE of a pain in the ass to get in, not to prevent the break in.

In any case I have learned my lesson, it doesn't pay to work hard and buy nice shit cos some lazy ass POS mutha fahka beleives he deserves what you have more than you do. In fact he deserves it so much he does not need to bust a sweat, or be told off by his boss, or get up before the fahkin birds start chirpin, or pay 18% interest on credit cards....theives fahk you! Get jobs...go put up with some **** who knows it all and drives you like a slave...pay some bills and when you put that last drop of money away for that new amp then describe that feeling of deserving! Nothing is more satisfying than getting a receipt for something knowing you busted your fahking ass!

But Rozzer, you'll recover. This time this is how you do it. Avoid ICE for now...your car is marked...in a month or so I guarantee these ****s will manage to check your car out again to see what you replaced your ICE with...thats how they did it to me. They broke in once, a few months later they hit it again (fahking POS). Just wait a bit save your cash and first thing is first. You get FULL INSURANCE. Then when your car is totally covered....then you buy some ICE equipment again but not installed right away. Go for quality and not quantity and make sure you make it as difficult as humanly possible to remove this shit. For example: my old system consisted of a single amp mounted to rear seat and a single 12" sub in a box. All in the hatch of my GTI. My next system if the GTI makes it through the year...will be a single amp mounted under the Rear seats. The seats are bolted down...therefore to get the amp, the ****s will need to take out the seats before they can unbolt the amp from the fram of the car. Next the sub, choose something small. Sacrifice volume for a stealth install. Use fibreglass to create an enclosure that can be mounted behind a hatch panel or in the spare tire well. My project will be a fibreglass enclosure bolted down into the spare tire well. This way when a ******tytheif walks by and looks in, he sees a flat trunk and assumes no woofers to take. The theif who is a bit brighter and maybe more of a risk taker breaks in lifts the cargo cover and finds a single 10 inch driver wrapped in fibreglass...thinking its easy to yank out tries and says 'oops'. This thing is bolted in. If he perseveres he can probably get it but if he's a chicken shit pussy asshole then he'll bail. Thats my plan.

I too lost CDs about 40 of em. Some were CDrs but alot were originals too. Not all trance but some were really good albums...my Depeche Mode box set, my Gangstarr greatest hits, the Doors greatest hits, Hendrix, Ferry Corsten @ Innercity etc. all kinds.

Get insurance, and don't worry bout getting even these ****s aren't worth your time....bust your hump and this time protect it. I screwed up last time by not carefully planning out the system. Next time I put in a system it will be impossible to get out unless they take the car....thats a bit easier to protect...a few well placed switches can shut off the starter and fuel pumps. Then a flat bed would be the only way....if they do that then they got determination and their is nothing you can do anyway.

Oh about the switches...this is what my buddy did in his GTI years ago.

A switch in the seat belt buckle checks to see it engaged if not it will give an annoying buzz and light until you put on the belt. He rewired it so that if the belt was not worn, that car was not starting (theives didn't know of course that this was the case). Second switch in series was a little switch hidden far back in the map pocket near the shifter. It was a tiny switch that nobody new existed, peeps assumed he was just reaching for his sunglasses or glasses anyway. One for the starter and one for the fuel pump. Nobody could get the car unless they knew...

Mind you he didn't turn the switches everytime....if he was home and the car was parked out front he did not disable the car, but if he parked it for a while (away from home) or parked it in a bad area or downtown or whatever, the shit was disabled so punks had to deal with an alarm, fuel and spark cutoff. Then if they really wanted to tow it away...they would have to get a flatbed only since the GTI was dumped to the floor with a 3" drop on stock 15" rims making it impossible to tow with a conventional truck.

cheers lazgti , info

Thanks Lazgti, you have some good points there , especially the one about the ****z that did this would probabily come back a month later and check out my new system, and yes I do still have a hole in my locks. Yeah im gonna get full insurance soon when I win the fucking Lottery , insurance is really harsh in the UK for a 1.1 under the age of 22 fully comp is like £800 its stupid with all the whip lash claims going round. Arggh My neck hurts thats £5000 please.

Talking bout security , at end of the day these guys who did me are professionals , even if an alarm goes off there stuff gonna do something to the car coz there gonna be pissed off coz they can't get to the gear, so theres gonna be a big fucking coin down the side of my wing costing what £500 to get fixed. Theres nothing on this earth what can protect your car 100% unless you hire a personal bodyguard to look after it or buy a big fuck off dog and let them sleep in ya car. my plans for the next few weeks is to fit an IMS thats an ( Internal Mini Screamer ) , yeah this baby is gonna scream a few thousand decibals into there ears and everone in the whole neigbour hood is gonna be peeping through there windows, these IMS cost only £20, so thats gonna be my first by. Then im fitting an EPROM chip into my car this little baby is gonna lock the car automatically and it can detect if the door are open for longer than a 4 minutes etc, if yes then this baby is gonna set off one hell of a scream , also trigger the engine cutoff and disable the whole car. Then im gonna get a Single Door Motor Kit (Heavy duty) This door motor is like no other. It features anti burn-out circuitry. Non perishable Silicon rubber boot which vents air and moisture providing trouble free operation. Ideal for commercial use or where a more durable replacement motor is required. Kit includes two High quality 30amp change-over relays (including wiring harness), and all necessary hardware. Add a few other Items like window roll up kit and some heavy duty electronic locking system , plus my new Flip Off will not by in the car as im gonna be carrying it around with me. My new speakers are gonna be bolted into the car with some heavy duty bolts, only unscrewable with an Airgun , sprayed black will look ok. plus the IMS working with the sensors inside the car are gonna detect any internal / external activity, plus my car goes in the garage at night and i have a big steering lock and gear stick lock. Basically its gonna be 99% secure, and for that other 1% my Shotgun will cover it.

If anybody else has some nw ideas i can do to my car to keep these Scum fucks out then , please post . cheers RoZZeR.

about the steering and gearstick lock: would you not prefer a pedallock?

because the most simple stuff protecting the wheel does not prevend your car when they sew/saw (dunno the word exactly) your steering wheel and take it off simple. IF you take one for the steering wheel make sure it covers THE FULL STEERINGWHEEL!!
same thing goes for the gearstick: when they saw it off, the can still shift the gear without big problems...

whoever, if you lock the pedals, the can't saw them!! 'cos the car is not driveable without pedals!!

good luck with it.

btw: what did you do with the rallywheels the saxo had underneath him when you posted it first?

Rozzer...this is something lots of people are doing these days and since your car is all messed up now and requires fixing....the incremental cost to you will be minimal.

Solenoids!

Yank the handles out completely and fit the doors with solenoids. Then the holes can be filled, sanded, painted and smoothed. Should look real nice and the only way into the car is with the remote control to open the solenoids. Alot of guys with Mk2 VWs do it because our cars require minimal effort to break into. All it takes is a screwdriver under the handle and they are in. With solenoids all a punk can do is break the glass. Since you doors are damaged all ready and require body work I say remove the handles and add solenoids.

About the screamer, I too thought about that. I would be careful. You can be charged with those. Disturbing the peace, criminal negligence.etc. You can damage the hearing of a theif and given the stupid mechanisms of the law, I am sure you could eventually be litigated by a victimized deaf theif. Things like that have happened. Apparently in the states, someone told me a young man caught some clowns breaking into his car. He had more balls than brains apparently and went after them unarmed. They ran. One got away...the other did not. The owner of the car, fahked him up to say the least. The theif was really hurt....busted ribs, busted jaw, missing teeth, broken arm, etc. The owner of the car ended up getting charged. Can't win it seems. But in any case, electricals fail sometimes, I would hate to be in the car and have the screamer go off....you may damage your own hearing not someone elses.

Your best bet Rozzer...is to swallow the hefty comp coverage. I know the price is high, but its expensive anywhere you go. Canada is the same. I pay about $2700 for insurance. I think about half of that is related to colision and comprehensive. C'est la vie. Seriously, save the money and get it...then if you got some cash for ICE then put some in, otherwise, they know your car now. Expect it to be a target again.

If anyone knows how you feel its me. I appreciate car stereos. I love them. I always have. As a kid I was always intrigued by machines and computers etc. I loved shit that 'worked' and that I could understand. So in high school all the kids with money had their cool cars and cool systems. I was pissed because, I was able to design a system, guide you through an install and adjust the settings to maximize the quality in the car. These guys had this shit because they heard it pounds. In any case, I had no cash so I waited. I said when I finish university and get a good job I will hook up my ride. Years go by, I finally get a job and some security so I decided to hook up my ride with a very modest system since I was into sound quality more than anything not really advertising my system to the neighborhood so it can get stolen. It lasted 1 month! One fahkin month! The fruits of my labour lasted a whole fahkin month! All I wanted was to just drive my car to the train station and listen to music with a bit of a kick and extended high frequency response. The ****s had to take the smallest most feeble system away frm a kid who waited like8 years to drop a system in his car. Damn these fahkers! I played the game. When my car got jacked the second time...I lost it and flipped out. I left the car as is. No stereo at all. No radio, no tape player nothin. I even left the wires hanging like the theives did and I kept parking it in the same parking lot so they can see their craftywork. I will be damned if I show them my weakness...this way I showed them I couldn't give a rats arse. But my next car will be hooked up and the fahkers won't know...hehe...it'll be all stealth.
