it always gets worse with time it seems

I personally can't understand how people can like electro, its utter shit imo.

+ i can't believe that people actually like it just because someone else decides its the next big thing

people should listen to what they like and dont follow any bandwagon.

That's exactly right there Benni. Very sad to see this happen.
It is extremely tragic when you see Dj's that used to play progressive house are now spinning cheesy electro house anthems

I can't see minimal (both actual minimal and all of the German productions getting the minimal label slapped on for no good reasons) really getting any bigger, at least not over here. It's pretty big already.

I hope it's going to be Prog-psy, but under one condition. So the producers continue to produce quality tracks/albums.

it usually isn't like that

what gets popular gets massproduced and turns shit, we all know that the biggest crowd out there has a shit taste in music (ofcourse imo )

I have been noticing this same thing, that minimal is already huge, so if you think it has peaked, then what is next, what is on the rise right now?

I got into alot of those netlabels which had kinda "minimal" (notice the quotes) sounds in them and they have that sound going back for a few years now, that and I have seen lots of old interviews and articles and stuff about it. But then again, electro kinda did this same thing, people thought it had peaked in 2002 and were already trying to move on, but since then it has grown even bigger. There was alot of talk with electro about how it was "the next big thing that never actually happened" but I think we can assume that it has happened now. Maybe minimal will do the same thing, like we are thinking it is over but really has just begun.

that's ridicolous. if progpsy goes popular it's going shit for sure. that's pure logic.

Maybe something new will come out of minimal, but sure as hell it can't get much further as a buzzword. The minimal bandwagon started pretty much simultaneous with "electro", which is past its prime already.

I'd rather bet on a trance revival. Whether it'll come out of "neotrance" or from somewhere else, it's too soon to predict.

A random long shot I just thought of might be drum'n'bass, haven't heard absolutely anything drum'n'bass in ages, surely it'll come back strong someday?
