no body likes sonar although it's the cheapest of the bigpacks.

anyway, live is a cool thing but the audio engine is not so very mature yet. especially when it comes to the latest multi-core machines. i hope version 6 will be a big step forward

Okay, honestly, though, it's all about finding out what makes sense for your work flow. Personally, though I wouldn't suggest floops, as I've found it to be finnicky with external things. It'll drop my midi controller if I don't use the controller for an extended period of time and I have to reset the midi settings. This might just be the controller, but it feels like a problem with floops.

In my case it was my soundcard drivers that caused that kind of problems. Try updating drivers and/or firmware.

Is there any “famous” track produced in FL Studio?

dude dont be discourged, grab fl studio, sooo many people down fl studio, why? i dont know. it can pull sounds just like any other program does. heres something you should keep in mind along with everyone else who produces or wants to get into producing music. The software is not creating the music its only a small tool in the process. Its up to the producer to create their sounds, if you cant create music in one program chances are your not going to be able to create it in another. What so many people dont understand is that everything, i mean everything in its entirety is up to the producer, the only limits set in a particular sequencer/program are what the producer makes them. Of course some programs perform well in places others dont but they all do the exact same thing, they create music. Fl studio's interface may be a little easy to pick up, and its sequencer may be simple but so what. One of my best friends just signed a contract with conspiracy recordings and uses soley FL 6,and the stryus exclusively, but with his tuning you'd never tell, along with assloads of vst' and all his sounds are created from scratch.but dont rely on opinions, just download demos and keep messing with them until you find one that fits your workflow. But You'd be surprised at how many million dollar studios you'll find fl in, i wont whore the boards with that rite now, maybe another thread!

After thinking about it for a couple weeks, I'm gonna go with Cubase and Reason. As far as I know, there is no PC version of the latest Logic, otherwise I'd get that over Cubase. Ableton is down the road for me. Programs are half the battle ... it's all the VSTs/plug-ins that make you pinch the pennies, haha.
