Djmag is a stupid poll that convinces "stupid" people to post their "stupid" opinions about "who's the best dj". We all know these ballots are fixed and innacurate. It's just evil promotion, stand up for the real underground artists...

The scientist cannot capture the whole cosmos in thought. In his mind he makes a kind of microcosm, which we see as an analogue of the cosmos. In this way we try to get a feeling for the whole. The artist, I suppose, gets a feeling for the whole some other way.”

Its true.

In a nutshell, the Djmag poll has become a fanatic, biased and completely fashion oriented magazine. All that poll has ever done is give "big-namer" djs the right to charge up to 50 grands per gig. That does not help a scene, all it does is shade a big black shadow.

I still do, but djs that are original, almost or all of the time underrated (Erol Alkan and Petter), and never part of a money crusade like many others.

I reckon their's nothing wrong with voting, but its more effective to go see lesser-known artist in the scene, to support their work which almost all of the time is greater than those who sit comfortably on the top.

You sir are a:

This board needs less "stupid" people like you. Seriously dude you need to leave the elitist "I'm so underground" attitude at the door already. Its getting really old. It's cool to try to show people new up and coming artists but trying to shove them down everyone's throat with that attitude only makes you look like a jackass.

We all know that the DJ Mag Top 100 is a popularity contest. However it's a good tool to use for club promoters because it tells them who is in and who is out. Simple as that. It's just the nature of the beast.

Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities, the political, the religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations, informing, forming in our minds their view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open-mindedness; chaotic, confused, vulnerability to inform yourself. - Timothy Leary
