I loved it after the first 1/2 hour and before the last hour, relentless and good. Two times for The Other Side was completely unnecessary, but that mix of As The Rush Comes is fantastic. The last hour was just uneven, too much slowing it down, and lowering the volume in favor of the drummer, which could have been fine but for the fact that I couldn't hear him. An odd night overall. Made even more odd because we decided to go to B.E.D. afterwards, which was all about hip hop and sluts. And we liked it. Weird.

i quite liked his set. played a lot of tracks i haven't heard and spun more on the harder side. i just found it kinda weird when the beats slowed down to almost hip hop beat tempo... that just confused me. dunno if thats what you guys were referring to when ableton failed on him, but i was in the bleachers and heard the bpms hitting like 100.. haha.

aside from that, i didn't think his mixing was bad at all. the sound at that stage is kinda weird, it creates an echo make it seem like there's a double beat, but if you were direct center the whole time, it was indistinguishable.

after the way he ended though, i kinda felt like he was saving up for tomorrow. cuz towards the end, he definitely toned it down a bit. kinda wish central park could stay open later like the tobacco warehouse. woulda been nice if pvd could've gotten 6 hours each day as well.

overall, i had a good time. it was good re-meeting some people at element last night. i really enjoyed ryan's set. victor's was pretty good. and the closer started off kinda weak but ended nicely. i left as ferry corsten - fire came on..

see ya'll at central park this afternoon

meh i really wasnt feeling it.
i understand he wanted to try something new and cut tracks up and all that, but when you only tease with the beat of a tune and never play the whole thing out, it's kinda disappointing. (Aalto-5, anyone?)
The drummer was cool on some tracks, on others tho it just wasnt fitting cause he used the same beats for almost every track.
Best tune of the night for me was definetly the 2003 Carlo Resoort tune.

he did that with almost every track he played. Im suprised people could even tell he was 'mixing' into another track, because he was constantly layering & sampling tracks.

Its just different, its rare that he plays a original track the whole way through.

Definitly one of the highlights, usually I disagree with groundhogs bitchin, but this time I have to agree the ratio of Bathrooms to humans must have been 200:1, I swear Im not exagerating
Overall PVD was great, much less filler than last year, and for someone who says they don not consider themselves a trance DJ, this was one helluva trance set, I loved the set up with the drums, and the usually robotic PVD seemed really into it, clapping , dancing, the whole 9 yards, musci was great, loved the build up and the breaks, really looking foward to today

One other point, acording to the tracklisting page of tranceaddict, they did not broadcast the event live on vonnyc as they were supposed to.
Also backpacks allowed, no bottles, weak pat down, and use bathrooms early, Brooklyn brewery Beer is all they sell and it SUCKS, beer $7, wine $6. Barriers set up all around venue. A few friends did bring their own supply of alcohol in, and a few of their friends got caught and had their tix taken away
