Er, well first i want to say i did actually kind of find your original post, Stating i had to be a retard pretty offensive and uncalled for. And could have been worded a bit better.

And thanks to trance nutter for standing in for me while i was out watching the box, awaiting delivery of the mixer which is sheduled to arrive later on today.

Concerning the actual price arguement. I didnt actually pay $999
I said:

These decks are $999 each, Retail. And seeing as they're selling over the 1000's they cant be to bad.. So iv gone ahead and ordered one as new from Cannon Sound & Light off ebay for $700 AUS.

Considering thats Australia brew, from a store i know is good, and includes shipping and insurance costs. I think $700 is worth paying. I always believe you get what you pay for. And there was no other cdj's attracting my attention.

I have stated earlier that i AM indeed new to CDJ's, coming from turntables.. so in all honestly, I have nfi whats good and whats not. Hence why i asked around and alot of people have given me the thumbs up on CDJ200's, And i swear iv seen these puppies being used in some clubs from international Djs.

I like the TA forums, i didnt come here to be called names or argue about dumb little matters. If i wanted to do that i would have stayed back in earlier forums i was apart of.

Not a scratch dj, House/Trance all the way
Anyways, Items are ordered and on the way

yeah dude,

Dj gear and a lot of other techincal equipment is really expensive in AUS. Just try to get it from rellies or visits overseas. Anywhere overseas is much cheaper.

CDJ200s are much cheaper, that's why they're seling over the CDJ1000s.

When i bought my senns, they were $300 here. But i got them in US for about $110AUD.

Pricing in Australia is very odd compared to the rest of the world from my research.

well, i don't see how it costs $300 for shipping.

Just browse aroudn the prices from retailers aroudn the world, and u'll see that the difference isn't that huge as it is here.

I just can't understand. I wonder if it's the same concept as how Nike shoes here are way more overpriced. From what i've been taught, Australian consumers are more willing ot pay for some things than say US consumers.

Dj equipment retailers must be having an absolute ball here. We need more competition really. I'm pretty sure it's just lack of competition, and lack of awareness of many DJs here.

there's a lot more to it than shipping. Shipping is actually a very small cost in the overall retail price. taxes, lead times, stock holdings for a smaller market, lower purchasing power for the smaller order quantities, write-off on those items that never sell which will be higher than in a larger market like the US.

defo not i had these decks, still got them lying about. i added numark axis9s to my setup then sold them and got cdj 200! only use cdj mode now. once u get used to the way cdj mode works ul be fine. its defo easier than vinyl. no spinning back to re find ur cue point. pure bliss!
