I still like Sander Van Doorn. The recent remix of Take Me Away restored my faith in him after a few lackluster sets. I'm not ready to start judging him this early in his 'breakout' year as many are calling it.

iammesol, you can't still love tech house
It's so played out
I loved it before it was played out... I love it while it is played out... I bet I'll love it after it's done being played out too
Same thing happened to me with Sander... so yeah... probably the same thing will result

Yeah that remix is pretty sick. Honestly, a lot of you guys get too bored too quickly. His sound is his sound, what more do you expect from him?

For him to go back to his sound of tech trance + his tech productions as opposed to what the Swedish House Mafia spins.

i pretty much agree with demoted, every since his essential mix, his recorded sets have been going south. he was pure fire at the beginning of 2006, but his last identity mix was MEHHHH. that being said, he's still one of the most phenomenal performances i've seen live. his 4.5 hour north american debut at 1015 here in sf was truly a journey through everything edm and none of his hour mp3 sets can even begin to reflect that. so i'll wait till i see svd live again before i pass judgment.
cliffs: svd extended club set > svd mp3 mixes x11tybillion

He will be replaced by Sean Tyas for the second half of this year imo.
