Vinyl sounds clearer (probably due to better pressing, and because a lot of tracks are made digitally first), and analog mixers are better (like from Ecler or A&H), and many people prefer them to the limited number of digital mixers (the only truly digital mixer seems to be the DJM 800).

Digital files have their ups and downs, but I think a WAV file sounds cleaner than some of the vinyl records out there, because vinyl attracts dust and it can harm the quality of the record over time, plus no popping or crackling noises.

Analog or Tube TVs are poor, Digital TVs (HDTVs..plasma, lcd) are much better and I'de say are the future. So the future is digital, but there are some really good analog equipment out there, esp DJ technology. So the line hasn't been completely drawn yet, but people will have to drop analog stuff in the future. They will be antiques..and probably worth something..probably more than digital i'de say, like old cars...

Then what about CD's? Vinyls have grooves. And CD's have pits in which the information is stored. Is it considered digital because of the 0's and 1's? Even though there are physical storage places for the 0's and 1's?

I think it's because of the digital files being used. When pressing a vinyl that was a digital file, it is converted to analog because of the nature of a vinyl record as well as a TT. With CDs, you are putting that digital file onto a medium yourself (CDRs) and so it's truer to the form in which it was produced, since things are done almost 100% digitally in production. So you don't get the clicks and pops like in analog-vinyl.

True the file is converted to CD-A, but CD-A itself is more or less a reproduction of that digital file, just like vinyl is, but it is usually reproduced in a digital medium like a CD-player or CDJ...where like I said a vinyl is played on an analog device (a TT). True there's digital TTs, but those are used more so you can play digital files on them like on Serato. So using Ableton and perhaps Serato is the truest you can get to digital DJing.

The characteristic of being digital has nothing to do with whether or not there is a physical place to store them.
