Well.. Interesting night. As Nate already said we didnt get there until super late. It was nice meeting those of you I hadn't met yet and it was good seeing the rest of you again.

We got there about half way through Bad Boy Bill's set and from what I heard of it, before moving on to the other stage, i thoroughly enjoyed. Deep Dish easily made my night. It was my second time seeing them (well.. Sharam atleast) and once again I'm by no means disappointed. Cant wait to see them spin again. As some have said already, the sound setup on the mainstage was killer!!! I remember sitting on the bleachers and I could feel my clothes and even my armhair bumpin.

Tiesto was just not good. For a DJ of his stature he played like an amateur. It's pretty rare to hear mixing that bad. We actually ended up leaving early because it just wasnt doing shit for us. We could even hear the galloping kicks as we were walking back to the car. I'm definitely not planning on seeing him again.

Overall though I definitely enjoyed the night, even if it was a bit short. Once again it was good seeing/meeting you guys.

i didnt get to hear that much since i was running around so much

in order of excellence: thought Junkie XL's set was the best, followed by dave clarke and surprisingly enough - bad boy bill (i wrote this guy off a long time ago). The Deep Dish set was easily the worst performance i ever saw from them - i didn't really get to be by 2nd stage that much so I pretty much missed Plaslaiko, Telefon Tel Aviv, Akufen and Juan Maclean. Didn't really get to hear much of Benassi's set but I dislike his productions just about universally - so my comments would be pretty biased anyways in regards to him.

a great night, but most importantly a great milestone in chicago's edm history and it felt very fortunate to be a part of it. great job done by pure

as for tiesto - i havent seen tiesto since 2004 and been making a conscious decision to avoid his every performance because the tracklistings over the past 2 years just looked like shit to me. was willing to give him a chance this time. 20 minutes into it - i was already clamoring to go home, it was just bad. got a ride home with some friends around 9:40 pm. did a small afters with a few people till about 5 am.

later saw the rest of the tracklist for him: lethal industry, flight 643, adagio for strings, traffic. 2 and 4 year old shit - embarassing.

rubin, great photos by you.

unfortunately i lost the nikon you gave me.

Re: Tiesto.. I have to be honest, I am rating him based on track selection - aside from his staples that I kinda zoned out of my mind, with the exception of the Lethal Industry rmx which was great. I am not basing it on mixing.. truthfully I wasn't paying much attention to the mixing. ;p

and that's generally how I felt about Benny before, but hearing his set was a nice surprise.

that sux about the camera, find it. ;p

haha i was totally messing with you...

as for the show:

the production was amazing. it was well-done all around. the sound was great and the staff was professional.

i enjoyed deep dish... tiesto was alright.

although the quality of a few of the performances might have been questionable to some, I have to give kudos to the production crew for throwing a great event.

looking forward to next year (hopefully)
