Michael Dow - really like your Sector 7 track and your Apex one is top notch too.

Delayed reverb always adds a nice groove to already groovy percussion.

eh?

Your a complete twat - Michael was just stating what loops sander used and the reason he knows as he's one of the top engineers/producers on the trance scene at the moment and he knows the sample packs inside out!!!!

If this is the response people like Michael get when they give input then it;s no wonder bigger producers don't come on here because of complete muppets like you.

You guys talk about Vengeance samples like it's the shizznit but I'll tell ya, save your money and use a little time because you can make all those sounds with a few stock samples and some good production technique. And not only that, this guy micheal can't even figure out how to use a post button, but before I just thought he was really happy about his sample packs.

Why do bigshot trance producers stay off the forum? Fuck all if I know OR care. No one around to buff up their egos? Would there feelings get hurt If I called them a tool?

Fuckin tool.

I think a lot of it is down to using percussive elements as bass. Normally one would avoid that (bassy perc, as it can bring mud), but if you can get it to fit right you can get a very driving techy beat.

If my memory serves me correctly your ear/brain can only discern seven distinct sounds at one time, anymore and it cannot focus on all the indiviual sounds. Use this will help create that layered 'wall of sound' effect.

I don't know about Vengeance samples but I do know the loops are ripped from actual trance/house tunes and just filtered. So they're pretty shit quality.
