Great thread. I also heart sushi. Sushi on Bloor is a good place for cheap sushi. Supreme Bento Box (Choice of grilled salmon, beef, or chicken teriyaki served with assorted tempura, 3 pcs salmon roll, 3 pcs cucumber roll) for $9.50 ftw!
Unagi and Dynomite rolls are my favourite sushi dishes.

I think we must work across the street from each other.
Bikkuri (formerly Kabukki) is good. They are quick, the prices are reasonable, presentation is nice.
Others in our area are SushiMan (Victoria & Richmond), Ichibahn (Wellington & Church) and then the one on Adelaide just West of Yonge (the name escapes me).

I forget the name of the establishment but there is a sushi place on Church Street where the sushi chef is a bit of a rock-star... Totally awesome experience.
He cuts fish and prepares freestyle sushi ("chef's selection") and he just passes it over the glass sushi counter as people crowd around it like a velvet rope in front of a club.
The chef continues this just handing it out, making little sushi plates each with their own uniqueness.
I highly recommend this place. I'll post the name when I remember.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Sushi....my two fave places for it are Blowfish @ Bathurst and King and this more authentic place @ Winston Churchill and Dundas. My fave is the spicy salmon rolls. Blowfish is a sushi place but more fusion-y I'd say...they have these handrolls which are to die for (no it's not fugu!)
We need a TOTA sushi outing!

i jus came back from an amazing sushi lunch at a very good all u can eat on hwy 7 and warden, yong sushi... probably the best all u can eat i had.
But usually i would say that all u can eat is no good. If u want the best u have to go for a la carte, and my favorite place is Momo Yama at young and steeles

Not sure if it's the same place - but Hiro Sushi (King and Jarvis) has the same concept and Hiro is probably the most famous sushi chef in the city. It's called eating "Omakaze" style (chef's choice) and it's amazing.
