In case anybody wants to see some more of Cubase 4, you can have a look at this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbic1RI0fXM

It's in German. I don't really know what they're saying, but there are some nice live screenshots :-)

Regards

... which can be a very intelligent thing to do, if you're after tight midi. The ATARI version of Cubase (which is freeware now btw - you can find it on the Steinberg FTP site) has the most rock solid midi timing you'll ever find.

No drifting, no jitter, no (very little) latency.

But you'ld have to miss out on all the great features added in later vesions. But then again: If you have outboard worth more than 100.000 USD, who would need plugins anyway, right ;-)

Lars

It seems Cubase 4 will no longer support directx.

Waves plugins might be able to use the waveshell.dll?

If I want to use the side-chain feature of my Waves C1 to compress my lead-line's reverb every time it hits in Cubase/Nuendo. I can't.

But I can do it in ProTools.

Audio Ch1: Lead --> send to bus 1-2
Aux Ch2: Reverb + WavesC1 which is in SC mode and recieves from bus 1-2.

are you talking about sidechaining with Waves C1 Comp SC?
