CDM was released in July 2006 of this year on spinnin records, the cube guys remix was on there, the previous release in dec 2005 did not include the remix.

Put Your Hands Up For Detroit is madd old now, For Sale is two years old, Elektro is older than Detroit, and so is Logic - Save My Soul

That's just a few songs, and FLG only just released the tune this summer and I wouldn't count that as well, if it came out in january or march, perhaps so, but the only reason it feels old is that it's been whored out by DJs.

as well though, old tunes don't always mean crappy tunes or boring, sometimes older tunes are better than what is out currently. It all depends how the set is, and in the end a live show is much better than a recorded one, since the DJ can play off the crowd's energy.

Trust me man I'm all over the 'play for the crowd and not the nerds" philosophy but EMs are reserved for Essential new music.

deep dish's EM from 2004 is/was one of the few that impressed me. i mean, i like the EM from axwell or shapeshifters, both from 2006 .. but i wouldnt play them today anymore. i still play deep dish' EM from 2004. that a vintage set, a key-mark .. imo. but hey, thats me

Outwork's 'Electro' was 'already' a hit in the netherlands in june/july 2006. just like every1 here in the NL hates Fedde's 'Put your ass in the air' for like 2 months (or more) now, since its been played out too much on the radio. it was a hit here before (april/may 2006) WAY before it 'reached' Ibiza or so ..

i think these things (hit or no hit, new or not new, cool or not) also are a bit 'country-dependent'
