Yeah i do listen to a lot of other stuff; drum n bass, house, hard-dance, hard-trance, electro stuff, everything. Even stuff going out of the EDM realm. But it just so happens that i happen to like trance the most, or so i think ....and as someone mentioned earlier, it's probably just the fact that i listen TOO MUCH. At school, work, home..everywhere.

P.s. thx for the replies everyone, i thought this was gona be a flop thread with a bunch of people just hating and making jokes , but ya'll are awesome.

well dont get me wrong, in the last 2 years there have been a few good tracks being churned out but say the ratio of decent quality tracks has dropped significantly say like vs 1999-2002.

i still like trance n all but just not any of this new 'prog-tech-uplifiting-euphoric' stuff, some ppl may not like the old stuff but live their life by this new sound, i just kinda loose concentration half way through because it all sounds like techno bla bla bla bleepy.its just a bit bland ya know? like eating a bowl of rice on its own.

yes im still full of shit and i like it

I find tech-house, electro house.. progressive to be more true to the whole *dance* thing.

I fukin love to dance to dirty dark beats or just anything thats funky and raw.

Im not even sure what trance is to be honest... well I do but I find ALOT of it is just kinda soft and played out at times... and boring. But thats not to say that some trance isnt brilliant.

TO put it into more.. umm.. interesting terms... Id say that, depending how high you are... trance is like flying through space... and house is like trekking through the jungle.

if trance is getting too much for you, feel free to go to other genres. Ive gone to euro and techno in my early teens to happy hardcore to die hard trance and even slip in some house, progressive, as well as hardstyle. I pretty much like all EDM genres.

Give trance a break for about three days (maybe 4) and enjoy whatever music throws at you.

Time of day is not much of a factor. I can listen to Trance on the ride to work in the morning, at work during the day...
I find the activity I am doing will help. I love inline skating while listening to trance. The beat keeps my pace up
Usually I pick a set on my iPod, ASOT, TATW, live set of other DJs.
