You are joking right?

I think the option of "diplomatic pressure on China" is missing?

Hope that Russia and China convice NK too halt their testing. This is clearly more of a threat to Asia than it is to the US.What I find this funny is no one in coming out and defending NK, China nor Russia

now lets examine the possibility of a war, if it does happen, NO! the USA wont be the only one involved expect a resolution of the UN to do so, so it will be NK vs. the rest of the world

If it happens, what if Iran and Venezuela say fuk it, lets join NK and battle the rest of the world , im just fantazising too much

Wouldnt that fall under sanctions, as sanctions are the diplomatic way of punishing countries?

despite its flaws the US is the lesser of the two evils as far as i am concerned. dont forget that governments come and go in the US, whereas dictatorships stay the same.

you should all be glad its countries like the US that are major powers and not nations like NK.

I'm not saying you're wrong or right, but why can't the US be compared to NK?

Is the possibility simply not connectable in your mind because it is actually not connectable, or because you've decided that it won't be connected?

Another important question:

Where did the NKs get this technology from?

Possibilities that I see so far:

- Stolen from America (Remember the chinese scientist that got caught trading nuclear secrets under Clinton to China? How many DIDN'T get caught?)

- Research and developed... this is almost unfeasable

Another question:

Where the hell are they getting the uranium from?

In January 2004, he confessed to having been involved in a clandestine international network of nuclear weapons technology proliferation from Pakistan to Libya, Iran and North Korea. As i understand, you're asking why the US can't be compared to NK. Technically, you're right, they should be compared. But they are two completely different countries with two completely different agendas in mind.

I was asking about the repercussions of the US going to war with NK:

-Cost in dollars
-Cost in equipment
-Cost in lives
-Ethics
-Future global ethics
-Troops (drafting, etc)
-Mobility

etc etc

oh, all i was saying was if we commit to a North Korean military venture, there is no doubt in my mind there will be a draft.

You think we could have a resistance movement like we do in Iraq?

Not really. If China decided to really push for reform in North Korea, sanctions wouldn't be the only way to change NK's current path, although maybe a part of it.
