You can tell when an article has been written by John '00' Boring - First indication being from your head smacking the desk after falling asleep with boredom, and secondly from the shit load of sentences punctuated with question marks that weren't actually questions in the first place?!

Zzzzzzzz.

He's John Fleming not Charles Dickens. For a DJ he writes reasonably well and his points are valid. I'd rather him articulate those thoughts poorly than not at all...

Well said John mate, some good, sound points there.

One point that caught my interest was that the poll is in English, thus reducing votes from non English speaking countries.

I had to laugh. Imagine the furor if the poll was available to voters in other languages? You would see DJs from Czechoslovakia, Chile, China, Russia or Poland showing up in the results, NONE of whom anyone has ever heard of.

This would only serve to further infuriate the people who already believe the poll is bogus.

They would look at the results in disbelief and say "I haven't heard of ANY of these DJs this year, it is WORSE than last year"

It seems that many people who complain about the poll want it to stay the way that it used to be back in the day, with UK and European DJs dominating, and the occasional US house DJ thrown in for good measure.

Good for John for speaking up though.

Agreed. I'd also have to add that it doesn't require much english to vote in a freakin' poll. I'm sure that a lot of people in the countries you listed know enough english to vote

Indeed.

John makes valid points. I bet many DJ's wouldnt even be able to write a paragraph of how they actually felt.....And many Dj's probably feel the same...and yes many just don't care.

I have loads of respect for John...as he is one of FEW more professional individuals in the industry.
