The examples theresa gave were pretty terrible. You spend all your money and you're fated to be broke. Yeah right. Fate deals with something you cant avoid, hence unavoidable. You can avoid spending all your money pretty well

the whole fate and destiny thing is normally augmented by the superstitious. these are normally the people who thing things happen for a reason. these are also normally the people who would go see a psychic. they are normally weaker minded individuals but not always.

I think its just easier to believe that one does not have any control over what happens to them then to worry about it all the time.

I don't know, to be honest. Would knowing have any sort of effect on the way I act? Probably not. Because if I knew, and if I tried to stop something from happening, wouldn't it end up happening anyways?
