oh yea almost forgot. To continue the story, some of them asked me to make a cd for them later on. So I put in some tunes that I'm sure they would love. This one guy brought it home and his parents thought that he was listening to satan and devil music

whenever someone says something stupid about trance to me(ie: you have to be on drugs to listen to it, its no real music, etc...) i like to just agree with them and put my headphones back on. by the way i dont know about you guys but how can anyone not like doomsnight. if that openning bassline doesnt get you up and moving then maybe you should check your pulse

Me: can you play some trance?
Local 'thug' DJ: East coast or west coast trance, because they're different..

Heh...I'm a very big progressive, Nubreed, GU fan, but I don't hate trance Sure, its not my favorite, but I still dance to it, listen to it, and love it. Just not my main musical love I'm into polygamy music ways

Where I work at, Some of my co-workers dont usually understand trance and stuff to a point they have the nerve to tell me to change the music and put something else, Its at times like these where I would get really pissed off and tell them off that all the other music they listen to is a piece of shit, Garbage, And that I dont listen Pop, Hiphop or any other style of music, Only Trance, Techno, House, Acid, Triphop.

I think it's time for some Mad Magazine style Snappy Answers to Stupid Comments......

Yeah you're right. Perhaps I should start to appreciate the incredible variety oozing from the rap and thrash metal scenes at the moment.

Yeah. I guess the guy who made Flaming June couldn't be anywhere near as talented as a musical prodigy like Nick Carter.

I guess the trance community just lacks the intelligence to appreciate the almost poetic complexity comprised in the lyrical content of that Christina Aguilera Christmas album.

Things that piss me off...

-People who think Hard House, House and EVEN American House is Trance
-People who don't know what techno is and jsut say it sounds like Trance / Happy Hardcore.
-People who think it's repetative
-People who think it's too fast
-People who think it hurts ur head
-People who dont like it beacuse "theres no words"
-It's not real music its all made on computers
-It's just some guy pressing button (really pisses me off )
-Isnt it like darude and public domain stuff that all soudns the same (makes me go demented that one)

What it boils down to is threse pepel are idiots, they dont have an open mind and jsut listen to cheesy music. They dont understand that trance has structure and composition, unliek rap / rock which is the usual shite these dickheads listen too. well, thats my opinion.

same here. i think im one of 3 peopel in my whole college (out of about 700) who are full on trance fans. yet people say its trendy musci hmm. theyre gimps who jsut here chartbound-cheese

and as for the classical music bit. in essance most trance is classic music composed form an electric ochestra, and from that you can prove that all emetions and can be created from trance, because it is an artform. you can call metal or rap artistic music can you?!

Yeah it's weird that they say trance is very trendy when it seems like nobody likes it (at least it seems like people are afraid to admit they like it). I feel kind of exclusive loving this truly GREAT music

I think a lot of people who do not like trance are not open minded. They only like the commercial sh!t because they are afraid to like something which is not listened by 99.7% of the world's population.

When people say that they could make a trance hit in 2 mins because it is so unbelievable easy to make, I just say to them "why don't you do it? Why don't you quit your day job right now and buy a computer and get rich in 2 mins?"
