The same way he argues that that a banana is proof of god (although a valid point was raised, if bananas are really god made why cant i grow them outside my house. Seems terribly inconvenient for them to travel half way around the world just so i can eat them. It would be much simpler if i could just go out a pick a few now that would be proof of god) i can argue that a steak is proof that there is no god as eating it is terribly hard unless some very specific conditions are met. First of all you have to kill the animal the meat is attached to and make some cuts so you wind up with a slab of useful material. You cant eat it raw because it tastes awful and most likely you will get sick so you have to grill it or something to fix that problem. And once you are done with that you still cant pick it up in your hands (like a banana) and eat it because now its too fucking hot. You need a knife and fork to handle that sucker.
A terribly complicated process just to get a simple meal wouldn't you say? Surely if god was around he would make all this much simpler. For instance you could pick grilled stakes off trees and eat them with you hands not bothered by the heat because of the higher pain threshold god would have provided us with.

This thread isn't about bashing religion, it's about subjecting an absurd and extreme theistic argument to the ridicule it clearly deserves. That doesn't make us closed-minded, it makes us sane people with a sense of humour.

You'd start with the assumption its probably going too be some blue satire about grown men fondling a banana on TV as proof of god, then throw in some one liners like 'so it doesnt squirt on your face'

That just had me in hysterics!

This is typical theistic thinking in trying to disprove evolution. They use the scientific principle that if you can provide 1 example to disprove a theory, you disprove it entirely. Meaning that if you can find 1 thing in nature that cannot be explained by natural selection or evolution, you pretty much just shot down both theories. They've been trying to do this for years. And scientists will openly agree that if such an example is to be found, evolution is wrong.

However, the theists never take the same standards to their beliefs, refusing to admit that there might even be a slight chance that god does not exist. And instead of using the same scientific method they apply to evolution, choose to use the "you can't prove it wrong so it must be true" argument. Whenever science shows us a fact that disagrees with religious beliefs, the theists just ignore it or try to refute it with their own counter-studies, instead of saying "you make a good point, perhaps I'll reconsider my thesis"

Now, who's more close minded? The person who openly admits he doesn't have all the answers and works day and night to find out the truth? Or the one who claims to know it all, and fights to the death (sadly all too often) with those who disagree?
