I think they have 29 games at launch, which I think is the most ever for any console. Plus doesn't launch have Zelda? Any Launch with Zelda will = Pure Gold.

The Backwards compatability isn't that big of a problem. There aren't that many games that don't work. Majority of the problems are games where the music in the background is messed, or stupid things like that. The games are still playable. Plus majority of the games that have having problems are Japanese games.

You can go to the Japanese Playstation website and they have a list of every game that has problems and what problems they are.

They'll eventually be able to fix this through firmware upgrades or something. Give them time.

Yeah..the new GTA should be awesome, and definitely MGS4. I'm a huge FF fan so can't wait for FFXIII. Just got FFXII so i'll have to finish that game first!


PS. I'm not a Sony fanboy..I use to be. But i like all consoles. I'm not suprised if I eventually own all 3 consoles in the future. They all have something different to offer.

Don't worry man. You should be fine. It'll play most of your PS2 and PS1 games no problem right at launch. There are a few games that have sound or other minor problems. But thats it.

Plus majority of the games with problems are Japanese games. They'll also release an update (like xbox does) to fix this problem so overtime, all games will be Backwards compatible.


Note:

The new Silver PS2 is on sale for $135.00 at best Buy! I might just buy myself one and mod it so I can play all those PS2 games I haven't had a chance to play.

when do u plan on begging to camp out? I was thinking about showing up at 3am would be early enough. They are handing out tickets at 7am

If you at 3am you definitely won't be able to get one.

Were probably going to go at 5pm at the latest...just drive around see. But most stores are (Best Buy) are probably going to be getting like 15-20 units.

Going to call tomorrow to confirm...but you have no idea how long ppl will campout to get these PS3s.

In the States, at one Best Buy, people were lined up for 9 days...

I dont even know if camping out from 5pm till the next morning at 7am is worth it ... how much do you think you will make? Not sure if its worth sitting out in the cold on a chance to make a few hundred

I'm sure you could easily sell it for $1,500US.

The reason is Sony has announced that they have cut alot of the US shipment. I think like EB Games and Gamestop has a reduction of 40% in what they originally expect.

Therefore, Supply is even further reduced, causing that much more demand.

It'll be fun to campout though. Going to go w/ a few buddies. Bring some poker chips, get some pizza...play some PSP...just hangout...

Shouldn't be too bad.
