I bought a Creative Zen when it first came out... oh boy, what a mistake.

Firstly, the software is shit. Installs fine, however, only on certain occassions does it read that I've connected it to the computer. And that takes ages. Moreso, 2 minutes connected to the computer, and the battery is drained like a fucka.

Although a positive, is that the battery life is pretty good.

Moreso, jog-wheel could use improvements, probably taken care of that in the newer versions.

But mostly importantly the sound fucks up after a while. This is from personal experience and from a friend who had this happen to him... basically the "headphone jack" connection fucks up... volume starts lowering... then you can only hear sound from one ear piece... and you have to keep shifting the headphone jacks until you hear a semi decent audio from both sides... FUCKN' ANNOYING.

I'll probably buy something new this Christmas... and I'll probably start a thread then :P

But yeah... no to Creative IMO.

The Zune looks pretty cool, I'd try to find a store that has a display unit to play with if I were you, to see if it's as good as it looks.

But in the iPod's defense, all you have to do is drag your music over the iPod icon in iTunes and it transfers. I don't see what the issue is there.
