Seriously though yeah people are saying she's a child to but realise she's 15 years old, a child just born isn't going to fight back, shit like this will always happen its shitty but theres always going to be events horrific like this happening.

Studying her, Criminal profilers like Robert Wessler studied the most notorious Serial Killers in the world, and theres still serial killers around, yes the research has helped profiling, and identifying them, but this is like a one off case, yes study her for a year or two get the answers, then imprision her. $20,000 bail must have a rich Mummy and Daddy but really I wouldn't let some fucking nutcase like that onto the streets regarless of weather she's showing signs of normal behaviour.

And theres some good points people are making here, but if you had a child lets say 3 months old, you and your wife/husband both have good and demanding careers and have to work, and you find out the 15 year old babysister or a 15 year old neighbours stabbed it in the neck to death, now I know its a bit different because its not a relation who killed the child, but would you be so peaceful and laid back in your views if faced with a scenario like this?

I think what happened here is like a delayed abortion. According to the laws we have now, I don't think the girl should be punished. Yeah, she killed a baby, but so do lots of other people, and they don't go to jail.

Maybe a scenario like this (the girl not being punished) would force people to think about abortion and realize that they, in reality, are doing the same thing as what the girl did.

And hopefully this will lead them to stop getting abortions.

Why should this spark a debate about abortion. This is more about lack of contraception and the fact that the girl was in an environment where she didn't feel safe telling anyone what was going on. This disgusts me...not that she stabbed her baby in the neck (that upsets me too but it's different) At 15 if you go through something as traumatic as hiding a pregnancy from everyone you know, PLUS you give birth by yourself in secret, that is a really damaging thing and it doesn't surprise me that she would harm the child.

She must have completely panicked...some women after birth have done crazier things (for example drowning their 5 children). Post partum depression is real. And for some women, it's just like Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome insofaras they basically go completely nuts. Sometimes permanently, but usually just temporarily. (Did you know they used to give women who exhibited signs of post partum depression complete hysterectomies because they thought that by removing their female organs they would remove the "chemicals" that were causing the women to feel that way? What would actually happen is their mental illness would get worse because they would be denied access to their newborn and they would think about how they could never have another child and they would blame themselves, usually resulting in psychotic schetzophrenia or suicide...but that's off topic, sorry)

I don't think that she should just get a slap on the wrist, but I don't think this is a case of someone who should be punished either. This is more about someone who should be councilled and rehabilitated so to speak. And more importantly this is about a community that would allow this to happen.

What really disgusts me is that she was in a situation where she didn't feel safe confiding in anyone. That's really sad and I feel awful for her. She is going to have serious psychological damage for a very very long time, if not forever. *Especially* if she really was a nice popular girl like the article said. She's going to have so much guilt for so long. And she's probably going to have serious trust issues in future relationships. Not to mention if she ever has another kid she will probably become seriously depressed during or after the pregnancy because she'll be thinking so much of the one that she killed.

I hope everyone around her realizes how much support she needs right now and is there to help her. She knows what she did was wrong, and she's going to need a lot of support. But I think most importantly the community should look at why she felt she had to hide it in the first place...and social workers should be brought in to find out how she was able to hide something like that from her parents.

2) the child was concieved while both the fatehr and the mother were either drunk or high (i can't remember which),
3) i hope she gets beaten to oblivian in jail in a few months, b/c she deserves it.


i know this girl, she went to my school. i know who the father is and i know how much bullshti the media is making up about her. in a paper they said she is an only child but she has a brother in gr 5.
