Always bring a flashlight (or some sort of light...)

Since CDs are dirt cheap it is easier to have 1 song per CD if you have the time to burn them. The only time I'd burn more is if I were pressed for time getting to a gig.

I mix techno and I usually burn 1 track per CD and try and find all the remixes i enjoy of that track and put it on the same CD. I carry about 300 CD's with me on any given night out and about 2 hours before a gig, i'm usually frantically putting together CD's filled with Poppy trash so i can try and lift the place if all goes badly.

To me, it keeps it WAY more organized burning one track per one cd. I am constantly rearranging my cd binders, taking out tracks I don't play anymore, or removing tracks that I am not going to play on a certain night. And while I am playing I am constantly moving tracks that I may play to the front of the binder. If you are are burning more than one track per cd you can't do that. It just seems that it would be too diffucult to build a set looking thru a bunch of cds with 10 or more tracks on them. To me its not about saving a couple bucks. I would rather have my cd binders set up so that I can get the best set possible out of them.

Rock On,

Mike

I do 1 song and any remixes of the same song per CD. Then I use flapless, windowless, paper CD sleeves. I put the sleeves through my printer formatting them like so:

Disc ID
1. Artist - Title
2. Artist - Title (ABC Remix)
3. Artist - Title (XYZ Remix)

I write the disc ID (its just an auto number) on the actual CD itself. Then I store them all in this alphabetically:

Magic!

Ditto on that. Why waste all that cd space on one track? You're defeating one of the greatest advantages of going digital. I usually try to group tracks together by artist (remixing or original).

I burn Usually 9 songs, beacuse that's what almost always fits on 80 minutes cd's for me.

This works for me like a charm, and I have no problems at all to find a song that I want to play.
I have about 1200 songs in one case, and I can find songs in a matter of seconds.
If I only burnt 1 track Per CD, I would need about 3 cases to look for my songs, I think that would take more time to find my songs.

I suggest you to give it a try, if it works then you would be taking advantage of Technology.
If it Doesn't work for you, then just do it the other way.
