Yeah I figured as much- I try and do these sorts of mixes to get people out of their little house/trance etc shell... I find most people (not even just EDM heads) get very pigeonholed into one specific genre and don't take the time or aren't give then chance to explore different musical styles. Chillout/Downtempo is my personal yang and I find it compliments the thump driven dance music I listen to quite well, especially since most of this is highly related to more common forms of electronic dance music. I can't do the boom boom all day long - I thrive on variety and drawing from all sorts of musical styles/genres. It's a shame this sort of music isn't your cup of tea, hopefully you'll enjoy my next effort a little more .
Cheers for the listen!
Your and Clovis's mixes really got me into this stuff. I used to be all about the trance mixes and didn't want to listen to anything else, and was actually disappointed when I downloaded Clovis's Red Line mix ( was I thinking) because it wasn't trance-ish music. Honestly I'd never listened to this stuff before I heard your mixes, now I love it! I've been searching for every chillout/downtempo/ambient mix I can find on this forum now
BTW this mix is brilliant!

fantastic mix greg! this is exactly my non-clubbling sound hehe . loved it. i've got tons of this stuff...we'll have to swap some stuff sometime hehe
edit: only think i didn't really like was the transition between 13 and 14. both good tracks, but thought it was a bit abrupt. all of the other mixes were very smooth and that one stood out...my guess is you just wanted to use the track heheh

Thanks a lot man! The links to my other sets are posted above, I think you might enjoy some of them.
It makes me feel good I've helped turn you on to some different music.
Cheers!

I couldnt get the Si Schroeder tune to flow out of any of the tunes! I played with the order a LOT more on this one (which is what I think makes it a lot better than my previous chillout effort) and I think if you can get past the abruptness of the actual mix, the songs flow from one to the next quite well. Lavendermist is gorgeous.
Thanks for the glowing review Glad this hit the spot.

Interesting that you'd mentioned the cold. This is the first time in at least five or six, maybe seven years that we've had snow in the fall (it usually snows in February). Eight inches at my house and I spent the entire day innertubing.
Downloading your mix now and am going to fall asleep to it tonight. I don't mean that in the negative, as I enjoy falling asleep to the Chillout and Downtempo, or any music that's just calm. I'll send a review your way once I have a chance to listen to it wide awake.

Will get one up for you soon mate-
Idoru - Don't worry, I take that as a HUGE compliment! I fall asleep to music every night without fail and often times have to change the music because it isn't good enough or isn't fitting my mood. Hopefully this mix works out for you. I've fell asleep to it last night and was out in no time
G'night!

This was a great selection! I loved it. Yeah the mixing is rough, but what the fuck else were you supposed to do. The order made sense, and the tracks were good, and often times didnt even need to be mixed, since they just flowed. The whole set reminded me very much of the big bear hug I got when we met briefly. Warm, open armed music that is inviting and rich.
