well, i was saying that music having an impact on our feelings was coincidental. However, it not being eliminated isn't.

Like sex. Sex is to pass our genes on, but it feels good. It feeling good is just a mere coincidence that happened somewhere in evolution and stayed because it increases the likelihood that we will have sex and pass our genes.

Music could be the same way, it unites people and increases social interaction (cough cough, TA).
