something about saying "I long to hear from you" kinda sounds like a scammer who can't speak english correctly. then again, if he sends the money first i don't see what you should worry about. |
I'm not really sure about the legalities behind this sort of thing. If the money order is stolen and I cash it, am I liable? What if the FedEX account is hijacked? I suppose Ill have to ask at the Post Office and call up FedEX and ask a few questions.

It's better not to deal with any person like that. Believe you me. |
Im kinda unsure about it all now. Ive had yet another offer for 100 dolars more with the same exact conditions. I give my address and they send me a USPS money order. This one does not mention an extra FedEX account.
There was alot of resentment against people sellin PS3s on craigslist. Posts were flagged for no reason (removing them from the community) and abusive emails were sent. I have the feeling this is that same group of people and either 1.) Ill receive something besides a money order in my mailbox or else Ill receive nothing at all
Heres the third message:
| quote: | | Thanks for getting back to me quick..I really appreciate the fast respond..Well why i asked you that question was simply because,i want to buy it for my son as a christmas gift since christmas is around the corner, i intend to surprise him with this as a token gift and also i will be offering you the sum of $1250 cos of the urgent need before i can proceed with the payment you need to give me some certain details required for the payment, which is your full name and address that will be written on the money order, i mean where you want the money to be sent to with the required payment because i use United States Postal Money Order{USPS} |

I'd check with eBay, either way. You never know.
Does the guy have any feedback? |
Craigslist, not ebay

Ohh. Whoops. I thought you were dealing with eBay. Was wondering why you mentioned Craigslist. Heh...
That's hard to say, man. I really don't know what to tell you. I guess... follow your gut feeling? |
Im happy with the 1150 offer, the 1250 offer is just icing on the cake. I suppose what Ill do is accept the offer, hope to receive the money order then take it to the Post Office before I try to cash it and verify it. If they offer the FEDEX packaging deal, Ill still have to all FedEx and ask about their abuse policies

When I posted my DJ equipment on Craigslist, I recieved almost identical e-mails as yours.....from 3 different addresses. Very suspicious. |
It totally seems like a scam to me, but if I cant be held liable and get my money, I really dont care how everything else works out
I assume you didnt sell to one of these people?
