hmm never knew that..guess that explains why my hair which is usually like a brillo pad seemed in better shape after 3 days of camping and no running water..

lol, i think women in general enjoy hotter showers than men. i've heard so many guys complain about their gfs/wives taking showers that are too hot.

i usually start my shower warm-hot and then adjust it higher as i get used to the heat. towards the end of the shower i like to cool it down a notch when i wash my face and to close up my pores. ending a shower with cooler water always makes me feel so refreshed.

I'm the opposite. I start hot and end up with a lower temperature. The heat gets on my nerves.

Plus, the hot water opens up the pores and the cooler water closes them. So I do all my shaving, exfoliating, and face washing while it's hot, and rinse myself with cool water.

As one of the few (only?) males who frequents the COR that has long hair, I will say that my hair definitely is not like that. I have to wash my hair daily or it looks like complete and utter ass. It gets oily and nasty and I look like a homeless person or something. I tried skipping washes on it and it just doesn't work for me. Perhaps my scalp produces an excess amount of oil.

Same thing when she washes dishes. (We met at our first job, so we had to do dish duty at the pizza place sometimes...) She would blast the water on full heat and there would be steam pouring out of the sink, and she'd just be sitting there washing away like it was no thing. I'd come to help and would be forced to scream expletives.

Yeah everyone's different. I have to wash my hair every day as well because it's really fine. By the end of the day it's greasy. Blech.

true...everyone is different.

i guess i'm blessed w/ the kind of hair and skin that doesn't need to be washed every day to look and smell good.

depends on your hair type... if you have dry/frizzy hair you shouldn't wash it every day, but people with naturally oily hair need to wash it every day so it doesn't get all gross.

my hair is really fine so if i don't wash it every day it just looks matted down.

i have really fine hair too, but i have a lot of it, so maybe that's the difference?

whenever i go for a hair cut, the stylists always say the same exact thing...never fails.

"wow, your hair is so fine, but you have so much of it!"

Yeah, the person who does my hair says it is really fine, so I just go with that excuse. Mine is greasy by the end of the day. Of course, I'm in the later stages of that "growing it out" phase, where I keep messing with it, touching it, putting it behind my ears (but it doesn't always stay), etc. I'm sure that is partially to blame. Plus it isn't all one length yet, so it isn't super thick yet. Getting there.
