Probably my favourite Sunshine People so far. Not really because of any of the internationals but rather the most awesome local talent Melbourne has to offer. It was definately the most fun i have had on the boat across any of the years - Stuart McKeown was probably my highlight, cannot wait to keep hearing him play in Melburn in 07 now that he's living here Steve May played an awesome set also - definately developed his own sound which is sitting somewhere between Deep Progressive/Tech & Progressive Trance. Big Kev also deserves a mention for some great sounds in what was to be his last ever set after hanging up the headphones (that Bodzin remix of Depeche Mode killed me). Enjoyed myself immensely playing with Craig McWhinney after his set in the morning was cancelled - thanks mate.

After i walked in after being on the boat for most of the afternoon, Pham & Callander we destroying the Hardware room and DJ T was mad also. What I think I really enjoy about the parties that Hardware & Co put on at South Atlantic is as much catching up with everyone as anything else - always a great vibe outside & inside all of the rooms in the sun

Nice.

Dave Pham

Who booked this guy??

Probably one of the worst dj'ing showcases I've ever seen... rivals some of the shithouse dj at Kiss My Grass Last year!

Didn't hear one decent mix from this guy! Every single time he started a mix, it was off, and not just a little bit, but it was off for a long time! The tunes he was playing were pretty good... but his skills were GAWD AWFUL!
Later, he picked up the slack a little bit, but then the tunes he was playing just went down the gutter. I think he was playing tracks produced by playschool kids.

Sorry, just wanted to express this, cause I can't get this guy outta my mind

I didn't hear all of Dave's set but what i heard i thought was great. I can recall a couple of slight slips but nothing like you have mentioned - Mike Nichol was saying the same thing to me, but i didn't hear it at all - maybe i wasn't listening hard enough while on the floor

His track selection was right up my alley - i was wrapt that someone had the balls to be playing so deep at that time of the day (it sounded like he was around 125bpm ) and i enjoyed every minute of it. Each to their own i guess

you cant b serious dude? yeh his mixing was off a bit but his track selection owned! probably the best tunes by anyone all day. it felt like he was playing at 123-124bpm and he showed why deep rules! gav martin and virginia played some quality shit on the boat but i expected nothing less from those two - they have never diappointed me and keitel was at is his best as usual outside in the sun. he seems to love dropping francois dubois - blood and it made my day early on. cox banged it as usual and it was good to see him play his natural tough techno but sets of the day goto dave pham and dj t.

Pham kept dropping tune after tune and i wanna know where he finds them. nothing like hearing a totally new sound

i agree mortyman, it was a little frustrating hearing dave's mixing at times but his music sure made up for it.

as for dj t, he sat down coz he did his achilles tendon apparently. some munter told me but i think he was right lol!
the perfect flowing set with seamless mixing to end the night.

went home a happy camper. was even happier to hear bob sinclair on nova live from summadayze playing rock this party!

the cheesedicks were in heaven.

I agree the tracks he was playing were really good, but I hated where his set went. My opinion obviously.
Found his music to be really really good for the first i dunno, 45 mins or so, but I just couldn't get past the mixing. I had to stop dancing once I heard a mix come in, which isn't good.
Guess that's what happens when I'm stone sober. Start to pay attention to detail alot more. His mixing got a little better, but like I said, that's when I found the music quality start to lack.
