Indeed, but Jeff Mills himself just didn't deliver, though the orchestra sure did. I'd have prefered it without the drum machine.

So, I'm gonna have to say Burial's album wins:

Everyone should hear it.

It's in finnish, it's entirely lo-fi and it has lyrics about mean girls tricking you into shoving a vibrator up your ass. How much more originality do you need?

I was going to vote for Basshunter's LOL <(^^,)>, but I'm going to take your word for it and vote for Risto

Definitely BT's "This Binary Universe", which has been mentioned. I also am intrigued by Trentmoller's "Last Resort". Not a huge fan of minimal, but it's approaching more ambient and downtempo territory, and I am a into ambient/downtempo. But for a melodic, compositional record, I think "This Binary Universe" stands out as being stellar and quite creative..original.

Most original: Moshic - Salamat

Most complete: Terry Lee Brown Jr. - Karambolage

Most overrated: Trentemoller - The Last Resort

...Seriously, what am I missing with Trentemoller's album? I really don't think it is as revolutionary as everyone here makes it out to be and I have yet to be impressed with it. Maybe if it were more like his EP on Naked Music instead of cookie-cutter minimal, I'd think different, but there's just something lacking to it IMO.

Moshic's album kills Trentemoller's. Just the tone and realism of the tracks alone make Salamat original cause that sound is not something you generally hear pushed at all.

BT Binary Universe - nice concept and totally enveloping.
Away from EDM, have to say Kasabian - Empire.
