Next thing u tell me is that the GU Djs have never realy been in the cities theyre supposed to "represent" musically...

protools is like a sound editing program its not like a thing wherre u mix they put and paste the songs and make them mixed together ..im not to familar exactly how they do it but thats how all djs do with there cds now a days unless it says live... yes the djs do play in those cities but have the cd already made out and the release party is in that city i belive ...not exactly sure.. but i belive its something like that

oki all this bullshit about computers making the mix perfect is right, but you have to notice that when you listen to Digweed or Seaman Gu's there is the difference in mixing. even though its on a computer mixed, the difference is still recognizable coz every dj is gonna wanna mix it the way he usually does, rather its a computer or on the decks

i'm not a big fan of progressive house but...

couldn't decide between both of Sasha's sets: 013 Ibiza is smoother, 009 San Francisco has more energy. so i flipped the coin and voted for 009. but the 2nd disc of John Digweed's 013 HK set is solid too (Breeder's "new york FM" has to be THE best 7 minutes of all GU cuts), Deep Dish's 021 Moscow and Digger's 019 L.A. have their moments too. but by and large, Global Underground has just gone from trance to progressive house. *sighs, shakes head

wow man, GU must be new to you i see first of all, GU since the beginning has many genders included. from Nick Warren's GU003 which was mainly PROGRESSIVE, breaks, acid sounds to Paul Oakenfold's GU004 - jungle, dnb & trance. Paul oakenfold's GU007 - acid house, trance, ambient, breaks, jungle. Digweed's GU's have always been about house and some trance tracks dropped in. Sasha his style that didn't change much over the years, house, ambient sounds, and progressive trance. Nick Warren has shown i think the most diversity in his GU's starting off from progressive to breaks (GU008) to trance (GU011), and then back to progressive house
so my point is GU has NEVER really been trance wise, more of the other electronic genders, and thats mainly house, progressive, ambient & breaks
