Looking at wildlife, people, details of the development you live in, architecture if you are in a city. There is always shit that makes me love running everyday. I wave and say hello to the passersby (Love that word!), and overall have a wonderful time.
If you are out of shape, it sucks because you focus on stuff like, "HOLY SHIT MY LEGS ARE BURNING!" And "OW! OW! STOMACH CRAMP!! STOMACH CRAMP!"
Once you get in shape, it can get very boring, yes, but if you learn to become an observant person, nothing will bore you on a daily jog on the same route.
