My girlfriend's mother feels bad about her son for marrying that woman - so she tried not to make things worse.

As for the rest of us, no one really cares about the existence of that woman anymore

It annoys me.

Anybody here do this? WHY?

Anybody here get the "silent treatment" from anybody recently?

Worst way to deal with a problem. I am extremely guilty of it though. I think the reason being, it's the easy way out....and being scared of saying something you may not say after you cool down.
Simply stay AWAY from your woman if you are experiencing the cold front from her. Nagging will only make the ice cubes projectile shoot out of her eyes and into your chest.

It depends on the circumstances, but obviously if it's not clear what's bothering you then you can't expect it to produce results. However, if someone is foolish enough to be coerced by silence, I see little reason not to take advantage of it.

i gave my exgirlfriend the silent treatment for a week and then we decided to take a break and then we broke up. then after almost a month i wrote her an email apologizing for the way things went down and asking her if we could talk again as just friends not getting back together or anything. well this was about 2 weeks ago so i guess technically i'm getting the silent treatment now. pretty much i pwnd myself....

I just had the same situation! it's probably for the best and I know this saying is old, but there are PLENTY of fish in the sea so enjoy swimming! I am tired of workign on relationships that just won't work out. Althought I am not really getting the silent treatment, he text messages me "I love you, I love you, I miss you xoxoxoxooxoxox" beyond belief! usually after 10 pm or 12 am (which I am sure he drunk texting!)

don't worry miami trance, you look like a nice looking guy that shouldn't have a problem finding someone new!
xx

thanks for the nice words!!! but honestly i've tried talking to girls, hanging out with them and what not and nothing has come even close to that feeling i had with her. I guess i need to be more patient but still it just makes me wonder if i made a mistake. or if its me wanting something that i cant have right now. all this relationship stuff is like wondering around in circles, i hate it!!!

I know! I compare most relationships to a dog chasing their own damn tail!

If you truly do like her, maybe since it's the holidays you could send her a flower arrangement by mail with alil card saying "I miss you, happy holidays" (?) or something like that! I hate giving the silent treatment, it truly seems like it's a game I am playing even though there is no game to play. I really really hate it when the silent treatment is played out to me, which is rare, unfortunatly.

It will take a while to get her out of your head, which is the worst, but the only two things I can suggest is to send her the flowers or a basket filled with stuff she likes, or go rebound and have bootie with someone else?

take care and all the best!

Dallas
