If you're sick of VT you'd be pretty sick of Montreal soon enough.
Go to University of Miami or UFL (smth like that) - nice weather all around, party city, good schools. Though pick a subject that would be good for you in a long run and it would give you a prospect of some job. "Social Studies", "Liberal Arts" or even... "Law" would probably land you with shitload of loans and no way to repay them. College loans can be obtained with a very good percentage but you do have to study for some of them and show certain GPA. If you're on academic probation now, you wouldn't be able to transfer your credits. You'll probably have to apply to another school without being able to get credits for the classes you already took (assuming you had C+ or higher). Can't say for sure but check into it, could be important.
Now, keep in mind that housing/food costs money. Regardless of where you go it is something you'll have to pay for. Consider that you'll have to study/work and make enough to cover your bills. Oh, and mum and dad might be pissed but if they see you progress and do nicely - who knows, they might throw you a bone (read: money)
short version: if you're afraid of challenge and fucking up your credit history for next 7 years (worst case scenario) - stay home.
otherwise - get this show on the road and live your life.
I wish I could have done it back when I had a chance. Personally, I'll kick my kid out of the house by the time he's 18. I want him to learn independence and see the world. I want him to be independent and self-sufficient. As much as I love him - I want him to know that he can make it on his own. But I'll be there to watch his back.

And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true. |

Better that then paying for your tuition for 10-12 years, like me. Or to try working full-time and taking a few classes here and there.
I don't understand why you would want to go out-of-state to a particular school if you don't know what you want to study? |
I agree.
4 years may seem like a long time. But if you move away you're going to have to not only work enough to support yourself, but try and do school full time on top of that, and you'll probably need loans just to pay for tuition and books. A change of scenery is nice, yes, but I don't see how it would help you choose a career any better.
Look, very few people have an absolute idea of what they want to do when they're entering college. And many of them still don't know by the time they have their degree, and they end up going back to school for something else. That's normal.
Do understand, however, that a degree is your ticket to a more comfortable job. I agree that money isn't everything, but when you're making a comfortable living, you have a LOT more options open to you. 4 years might seem like a long time right now, but in the long run it might be the best choice.

How bout C. Go back and in live with your parents, graduate, and then live alone. You'll save a lot of money on rent, food, etc.
Living alone is overrated. Don't do it because it's the cool thing to do or because you want to have independence and party hard.
You also said you have a hard time choosing a career. Don't waste time. Take a personality test (meyers-brigg) and a career test(forgot the name of that test). After that the adminstrator should give you a bunch of results for careers that might suit you the best or careers you'd probably be interested in. Pick a major and visit your advisor to schedule you a proper set of classes.
