You're absolutely right, I was messin' about the big 'n blocky - it's just that I'm not used to 800x600, even on my 15" laptop screen in the car. However, I need it at that resolution so I don't spend too much time focusing on certain parameters/readings from my car, while I'm driving.

1920 x 1080 ( in the new year perhaps ) I'd love to get a full hd screen to work with.

If you have a 15" - 17" monitor, yes.

Any monitor 19"+ - 800x600 is too low, unless you're visually impaired.

Yeah, it does, but it looks good on laptop panel monitors. You CAN get away with 1024x768, on a decent 15" CRT monitor, and definitely a laptop monitor.

I played Unreal Tournament a VERY LONG TIME AGO, on 1280x1024 - it looks seriously badass, compared to 1024x768.
