most DJ's in the 'all occasion DJ' category, are in it for the money. Alot of the older guys I know, and have seen DJ events with many genres of music, don't give a shit, they play the same material every weekend, for years.
they get set into a routine, have playlists, and sit back, drink for free, and relax for 8 hours.
Myself, i'm always looking new music, songs people have forgotten about, remixes of older songs that allow youth and 35+ crowd to dance at the same time.
when people start dancing during dinner (and not to your typical wedding favorites) you know your making a difference
and knowing is half the battle
