Safin makes a great escape against Sela, and sets up a match with Roddick

I dont think he can beat Roddick in his current state. The last two matches it took him 5 sets to finish his opponents. He actually is better than Roddick tho.

You can never count Safin out... he's always been so inconsistent at times, you just can't tell what kind of Safin will show up against Roddick, if he's on his A game Roddick might say goodbye early. This should be a thriller.

I would love to see Nadal, Nalbandian or Blake win. Also, it's exciting seeing a young player like Monfils, too bad he beat Marcos cause I really like his tennis game and personality on the court. On the lady's side I would really like to see Clijsters go home with the win, Justine is nasty but she's won enough. Hewitt match is on right now on ESPN 2, too bad I don't like him :/. Finally, Serena is my idol so I REALLY want to see her put the beat down on Petrova and anyone else she plays cause she's awesome...although Clijsters should win overall.

***Edit - Ha the commentators are talking about how crapp Hewitt's brand is in Australia and his failures. I guess I'm not the only one who doesn't like him.

I know he definatly has the potential, the talent and the skills to beat Roddick, but most of the time he just doesnt live up to it. Thats why its so frustrating for me, as someone who'd like Safin to win/at least make it to the final 4.

I'm not gonna take it for granted anymore that he's gonna win when he's playing to someone I've never heard before and thats ranked nr 148 or something, I'm also trying not expect a lot when he's gonna play against Roddick. Roddick has a killer mentality, but Safin on the other hand can get so frustrated about himself, but if its going too smooth he gets 'bored' and loses concentration.

I thought Justine (Henin?) withdraw because of marriage problems?

How could Serena be your idol ewll..
She doesnt have the appereance, the character, the game (her game is only about power)?

I'd love for Clijsters to win tho. It seems like she has a great personality. I think Sharapova has a good shot.
