........... I got nothing

I don't have any expectations for Williams this year, I don't think Toyota was the right engine to get, I don't think they'll fix their chassis/aero issues they've been having in the last few years, and i don't think the drivers are the ones to give them consistently good results. I'm keeping my allegiances quiet this season.

Hoping RBR improve with Newey on board. I think their lineup is solid with Webber and Coulthard, but not outstanding. Maybe a couple of podiums. Could see some rivalry developing between them and BMW through the season.

Toyota will still fail to impress, i expect them to drop behind RBR and BMW.

I hope Spyker continue to improve and start bridging the gap, but I think Super Aguri will jump from the bottom, maybe even past STR.

I too think Honda will be a player this year, and BMW to continue their imporve but they won't be 'there' yet, maybe in the next couple of years though.

Renault, they may have the team but they don't have the drivers to take either title. I really hope McLaren can sort out their car.

In a way you could say this could be a very evenly matched year, Ferrari have lost a lot of their brains, McLaren might sort out their car, Renault have lost their outstanding driver, and Honda have been improving. Theres also the possibilty of RBR and BMW causing some major upsets.

Personally I am looking forwards to this season, should be a good one.

Well said, TranceNutter

I would agree with all of your analysis. It will be a very even year for sure since all the top teams are only running eveolutions of last years car (for the most part). The rule freeze was helpful in that regard I guess.

I think it was Mario Thiessen who said that this might be the best year of racing yet since it won't be as political. A little jab at Schu but I can't help but agree.

Lots of young talent, Newey going to RBR, the whole "customer cars" saga with Aguri and STR...should be a great season.

car racing (of any form) is enough to make me want to gouge out my eyes and spend the rest of my life looking for new ones.

And you couldn't find picture of Kovalainen...

I expect exciting season. Schumi is out and top drivers changed the team. I guess Kimi and Alonso are still favourites, but Massa could be surprisingly good.

what? it's always been there

Button's Honda stopped on the first lap of testing today, lol.

Jenson Button was supposed to complete his first laps today in the RA107, but unfortunately for the 27-year-old the car stopped without having even completed a single lap. Honda is currently in Barcelona to present its 2007 contender.

The RA107 made its debut on track for the first time on Wednesday. Rubens Barrichello completed a number of laps without any major problems. Unfortunately for Button he had to cope with what looks likes an electrical problem.

Things to notice:
- McLaren surprisingly dominated this week and are looking very strong.
- Renault and Ferrari also consistently doing good laptimes, look just a slight notch behind McLaren.
- BMW Sauber also looking fairly competitive.
- Honda and Red Bull so far look like a complete disaster, very disappointing by both.
- Toyota topped the times Thursday, but that doesn't look very consistent with the two previous days - maybe they went for a glory run with Ralf?
- This is all just testing and things could be very very different when it comes to real racing.
