Plus the fact that for maybe exception of Toronto and Mtl which may have big enough market to compete with the American franchises, the other Canadian franchises would die a quick and horrible death.

what a ballache to fly all those players over there, to a country that doesn't give a shit about the sport. does the US market not generate enough revenue for the nfl already? like, why did they deem this a good marketing strategy cuz i doubt i will ever see in my lifetime (or ever!) the nfl reach the premier league's status in the UK.

i dont no, thats just my personally feeling about it. right now, the CFL is too boring for me to watch. i dont really understand how it can be exciting to watch the playoffs since prety much all the teams except for 2 (or is it more?) make it in

but thats not the point of the NFL as i stated before (now i am only speaking of my own understanding)
i am very sure that NFL knows it can NEVR EVER reach the status of soccer or rugby or even cricket there. But doing couple of games a year in different countries will for sure generate something positive for them. I am also sure that NFL spent good amount of money on researching this before they made the decision and they can always pack up and call it quits on this idea. Its not like their trips to the bank will stop lolz

I think that the only reason soccer is so popular as a kids game is because parents don't want to shell out the coin to have their kids play football.
I think most red-blooded young boys would rather have a legitimate reason to beat the shit out of each other than run around and kick a ball.

In America, the kids that played soccer were usually the ones that were not big enough, strong enough, or tough enough to play football.
Why would the premier athletes here want to play soccer when the amount of $$ that football players make is so much greater than what a soccer player can make?

For the love of the game?
If you're in a sport just to make cash (and consider the actual odds of making pro), then you're in it for the wrong reason.
(And why I hate dickhead parents who think their talented kids are investments)

Angsty teenagers, maybe. Kids just wanna run around, scream, and have fun.
