this movie was a slow, plodding, well shot movie that had no substance, no philosophy, and at most could be a dramatized documentary of a 3rd world country woman struggling to keep a baby.

...

It. Was. Well. Shot. Thats IT. If you have any further analysis it would be like looking at a photo and making a story up for it. Its not necessarily what the intent of the film was.

...

There are no conflicts. What choice is there at any point in that movie where one might think "wow, boiling it down to a choice like that is insightful. What would I do, what should I do?"

A simple struggle for life goes on every day. we dont need to glorify a dude trying not to get shot the whole movie.

So far you agreed with everything I said.

It was well shot (me)

You: he film itself looked incredible, the sets were extraordinary, the level of detail put into every scene was awesome, Scenes like where everyone stops fighting when they hear the baby cry and they just let them pass through.

those are scenes. No acting. And the same reaction could be if there hadnt been an extinct animal in 500 years and they see a puppy someone found next to a dead mom in the forest.

Reverence for the rare is not art. Its human nature, and I found nothing that significant about it.

ME: its about normal every day life. the dude running away from bullets all movie.

you: However, the movie is not so much about the end results as the actions and reactions of people along the way

thats you saying that you like it for the same reason I hate it.

Thats called opinion. so far youve given a pretty similar review to mine, except I didnt like the well shot cliche this movie was.
