Have you been diagnosed with OCD?
Have you ever received treatment, or receiving treatment at the present time?

If you are truly concerned that OCD is affecting your life, you should get both of those things done and stop trying to get attention by saying you have it. You just sound just like an emo kid bragging about having depression so and cutting his wrists.

I would really appreciate you not being so insensitive about it. I was diagnosed with mild OCD a few years ago, but it is nothing serious enough that needs medication. I wouldn't consider taking medication for it unless it was something that was severely detrimental to my life. Being teased and having the frusteration of not being able to function from time to time because my hands are dirty is not worth taking mind altering psychoactives in my opinion.

P.S. It isn't something I openly like to admit either... it is kind of embarassing.

one time when i went to the LAN center, the big fucking TV at the front was airing some kind of "The View" shit about 4 women who needed to overcome various handicaps, disorders and fears. One of the ladies had some kind of disorder like this, but i can't remember what it was. but they let her do it 4 of the 5 times she needed to complete her "task" and she was crying and going hysterical. she was screaming at the producers to let her finish.
but the highlight was some lady who was scared to make left turns after getting in a car accident relating to a left hand turn. So they put her in a car on a test track with a bunch of cones, along with the 3 other bitches in the back seat and a "professional" in the passenger seat. "you are responsible for everyone here! you have to face your fear!" The first time she stopped at the cone to make the left, but she started going straight for about 10 feet and (without stopping) she took off the seat belt and jumped out the car (the car was going slow enough for her to just sort of walk out). she was crying and the PRO handbraked the car for her.
The next go around, it was just her and the Pro. The shot was done from the sidelines for the first time and all you saw was the car approach the cone and glide past it without stopping and then an abrupt stop. They replayed it from the in-car camera and she fainted on the way to the cone.
At first i thought it was some really prologned Comedy Central joke on some new show but i asked the guy about it and he said he just found it on the DVR

-Car seat/mirror positioning
-All temperature controls, anywhere I can get my hands on them...
-Volume controls...I have a bad habit of constantly adjusting it to keep everything at approximately the same level...commercial to commercial...song to song...
-laundry. I stopped letting my mom do it when I was in middle school, because it drove me nuts, since I hate having things shrink/fade/not feel right/wrinkle, even slightly. Jeans are the worst, since most people either throw them in the dryer & shrink them, or leave them out to dry & wind up with cardboard. I won't let anybody even try to do any of it for me anymore.

pretty much everything....

my biggest thing is how knick knacks are arranged on a shelf. things have to be symmetrical. I can tell when someone has moved something.

It frusterates me, and has been the cause of a lot of teasing for me...

excessively cleaning your skin and make sure your surroundings are 100% clean makes you more fragile to filthy things and more prone to getting sick easilly.

I know this girl who has to have everything in a multiple of two. Like if you're watching TV and the volume is set on '35' and she sees that she will go nuts unless you give her the remote and let her change it to '34' or '36' etc...

when you live in manhattan you have to have some OCD-like qualities to live here. It's a very structured lifestyle if you're working and living in the city. Without structure I begin to panic to the point where I think I should be doing something or remembering something.

Part of living such a lifestyle is enjoying what it really feels like to do nothing, thus I fill my weekends with absolutely nothing to compensate for an overly structured and stressful work week.
