It's kind of rare for a cat to get dirty enough that you need to give it a bath. Cats are almost completely self-cleaning - their saliva has special enzymes that react with their fur almost perfectly to dissolve any sort of everyday accruals. Also consider that domestic cats are, more often than not, household pets, and it's easy to see why they don't tend to get as dirty filthy as dogs do. When cats get really filthy though, for whatever reason, and to the point where they're caked with mud, etc. then you just give them a slow bath in a bath-tub or shower. You don't be a lazy shit and stick them in a machine that blasts them with water - it's like putting an infant in there - they simply do not understand what is happening.
