So wait, how do tax backs work in the states?

Here, they take off so much per week of my pay and when tax time rolls around I usually get back about 90% of what they took off.

I've been considering adjusting my withholdings but, it's difficult to tell which bracket I'm going to fall in each year and what deductions I'll be eligible for.

I'm no tax whiz but, I believe here you can dictate to your employer how much Withholding is deducted from your paycheck. I believe that it can vary depending on if you are married or if you claim tax exempt or various other deductions and I know that you can request more to be deducted. I've never done it so, I don't know all the specifics of it. I'm hoping Getfoul does and he can give me some tips.

I claim two, for what I make that comes out just about right. It's not against the law, it just tells if you want them to have free range over your paycheck, or if you want to risk owing money at the end of the tax year.

As long as they get theirs out of it *and trust me they got a lot* they are happy.
