Dude, i have nothing against the Blonde. I am trying to prove a point to you beleive it or not. Heres the thing ...

The thread does not ask for Trance CDs for new comers, it asks for Trance sets that can be easily downloaded and new comers can easily adapt to the new sound. When i started out in the scene if i had not gone to see Oakenfold in 1999 i dont think i would be here today. Same is true for many other who either went to one of the parties where Oakie or PvD or Armin or Tiesto just rocked. And back then there is no denying that those guys were on top of their game.

Now once you are into the scene and you start to browse around and see what other sounds are avilable then you come to know that there is more to Trance than just Armin and Ferry. Nicholas Bennison Skazi Vibrasphere Fleming and so on.

However in the end it all comes down to personal choice. If someone doesnt not have the same taste in music as you then that doesnt mean you are better than them or you know more about the music than the other guy. being different is a very good thing and if everything and everyone was the same then this would be a very boring and dull EDM community. If someone prefers Tiesto over anything else then let them be ... making sarcastic comments will not change anything. We could however point them in right direction by suggesting what we think is better or different

Do not start with 1999 material, start with 1994 material.

I say go out and look at www.essentialmix.nu. Look at tracklistings from those years, starting at 1994.

Then look up artists and DJs from that era, and work your way forward. I did that when I first started listening to trance, and I think I gained a lot more respect for the genre, the artists, and how far it has come.
