Can we stay on topic please? There have got to be at least a dozen other threads about the TI, you can brag about it there.

lol..it would be called a brag if i actually had one..

but as for the question "whats a good chair to use in your studio" i have no idea..i have a $20 chair from IKEA that does the job for me..i guess i never thought about it untill now..i think something With good back support and flexible enough so you could move in it freely would be nice..other than that what else would you want in a chair..

What did you pay for it?

I'm not sure if it's got the required height, but I'm completely open here, however unconventional the seat may be. Mind you, slouching isn't really my problem, I do sit up straight, it's just that my current chair has no back support unless I *don't* sit straight (no butt support either).

I've tried it. Worst idea ever.

It's all nice and dandy for the first 15min, after which your back gets fucked because you have no proper support and once your abs get tired. Oh boy...

i got mine for $10-15. yeah, if your abs aren't in good shape, you should start out slow with these...

i'm in decent shape and when i first started using it i did an hour on/hour off.....but after some time and maybe a little yoga, you can sit on it all day. there's some info scattered on the web about using these as your regular desk chair

I want one of these

Only problem on those is leaning forward is strenuous on the knees but if you have the desk clearance you should't need to.

That's the thing, my abs are fine. You know of that strength test that's commonly used by coaches to determine ab strength? I've always gotten 7 and that's the max level so I'm fine there. But I've had back problems so I guess it depends on the person. All I know is that for most people, prolonged periods sitting down should be in a comfortable chair with proper back support

Something from Ikea, forget the name.

Not sure, I smoke, and not in the studio. So I am doing regular ciggarete/coffee/stretch/rest ear breaks at least every hour. Don't get uncomfortable even doing an all night session.

It's going ok so far, one year on. No damage to speak of.
