I still believe a pci / breakout box is a good combination. It will offer me less strain on my pc and better latency. I also don't need the portability yet.

Plus as PCI is less fashionable today I can get the Multiface II and card for about 40% off RRP.

This is exactly what I heard. Rivensbitch over at SA:ML says the same thing and there are loads of people on the forums with similar testimonies.

They also love RME over there so I figure I'm going to go get an RME Fireface 400 when funds allow. It looks like the best thing you can get up until you can afford an Apogee Rosetta 200. I used one of those for 20 minutes and man that thing could make you spooge your pants when you trying recording a clean guitar through it.
