Very tough to come up with three nights out of all that I have spent there, but here are the three that stand out most in my mind.
1) Labour of Love 1- Sept 2002
The party was all access but my story is mainroom based...
I was 18 at the time and used the worlds worst fake id to get into the club. I had come from windsor with my friends and really was only interested in seeing Bad Boy Bill who I think I must have downloaded a song from some time before. The Guv had not yet instituted the one way motion policy that they use at all access events now, and we were trying to get into the mainroom, and got trapped in a bottleneck going from the orange room into the guv. We missed all of Bad Boy Bill's set, and were forced to listen to the shit in the orange room for an hour and a half.
When we got back into the mainroom some guy named Armin Van Buuren was playing, which at first dissapointed me since I had an Armin Van Helden remix of a Daft Punk song, and I wanted it to be him instead. Then I listened to the set and it changed my life.
2) Ferry Corsten-March 13, 2004 (Diggers was in KH same night)
As Lisa mentioned before this night makes the list primarily because of surprise value. They had posted the set times earlier in the day and I remember looking up time after time and saying "He's still going?" His encore track that night was "Rock Your Body". I know it doesn't seem that significant anymore, but at the time I had just come out and I remember being so exhausted from his 8 hour set that I had been just sitting on a speaker off to the side, and when that came on I catapulted off my seat.
3) *I know I'm going to get some disagreement on this one*
Steve Lawler- Halloween 2005
Sure it was packed, and there was a ridiculous costume contest and jackasses in huge costumes that got in the way, but dressed in my best short shorts as Richard Simmons hearing Lawler that night was the set that opened my ears to house music. I'll never forget it.
