lol really? I just figured it was a replacement 1-800 find-a-DJ-on-my-continent or something. All I remember seeing on the notice was "Derrick Carter... regrets, can't come... Claude Von Stroke will be here..." I think I would have enjoyed back-to-back sets far more. A couple hours of CVS would have been perfect, but nearly 5h was too much for me.

As of yesterday I was still pretty damn sore from going off to von Stroke's set 'til about 8am. Which is pretty surprising since electro isn't really my bag as much as Chi-town house is. von Stroke's set was varying between playful and dark, but I found the groove all throughout and loved every minute of it.

Nice t'finally meet Rachel, as well as Michael and Peter...and, of course, brother baffum in the house

Also have to give props to Gleeson for dropping "The Snake Pit" by Liverpool's Lee Mortimer...First time I've gotten to hear it on a dancefloor as opposed to my computer...wahey!

Track of the night, for me, was Abracadabra! Yes, Hall and Oates! Yvonne and I were singing our hearts out! Hilfuckingarious as most of the young 'uns had no idea what it was!!!

Wasn't that the Steve Miller Band who did that?

(I must admit to being old enough to remember that one )

Damn, I knew I should have googled before I posted. Oh well, I admit to my failings. Did Hall and Oates do something about magic? hmmm

I think it's PILOT you are thinking of.... (LOL - how big of a loser am i right now)

Ho, ho, ho
It's magic, you know
Never believe it's not so
It's magic, you know
Never believe, it's not so

Never been awake
Never seen a day break
Leaning on my pillow in the morning
Lazy day in bed
Music in my head
Crazy music playing in the morning light

Ho, ho, ho
It's magic, you know
Never believe it's not so
It's magic, you know
Never believe, it's not so

I love my sunny day
Dream of far away
Dreaming on my pillow in the morning
Never been awake
Never seen a day break
Leaning on my pillow in the morning light

Ho, ho, ho
It's magic, you know
Never believe it's not so
It's magic, you know
Never believe, it's not so

[Musical Interlude]

Ho, ho, ho
It's magic, you know
Never believe it's not so
It's magic, you know
Never believe, it's not so
