Dead on. It's not like the concerns mentioned (STDs, unwanted pregnancy, rep loss) only apply to the people with genetic disorders. They apply to anyone who wants to be sexually active. That being said, it's certainly understandable that these risks can seem daunting enough to put you off sex, even though the pleasure derived from sex normally is convincing enough.
