Hey, it sounded off tempo towards the beginning. Just weird to me. Other than that, the looping began to annoy me. I know what I'm trying to say even if I can only convey as well as Purple can convey his thoughts

It doesn't matter what your subjective impression (or anyone's for that matter) of the track's strings are. The structure is intented to be like this. Plus detroit influenced techno was played by many non-Americans like Slam, Funk D'Void, (the Soma sound ),The Youngsters Ken Ishi etc. although pryda works on a more "catchy" edge. Prydz intention was to create big-room mainstream house under his name and deeper technoy stuff under his Pryda alias. Its a different matter if this sounds good to someone or not.

i have yet to be disappointed by anything under the pryda alias; i've even found that friends and relatives who came of musical age in the early '80s with the faltermeyers and moroders but don't listen to dance music today enjoy and respond to the pryda sound.

It's not earth shattering, but it sure does work for me... prefer Frankfurt by a mile... but I'd pay $1.49 for this...

When you set the bar so incredibly high, you can't blame him for not always reaching it every single time. I agree, not one of his absolute best, but it's a lot better than a lot of other stuff out there. The siren doesn't do it for me though.

Though not his best, like someone mentioned he does set the bar pretty high will all of the amazing productions he's had out in the last while. I'd still enjoy groovin to this one early in the set.

does anyone notice how many people are using that same effect in all their tunes (don't know what youd call it, delay or something) you hear it round about the 13 second mark.

Same with slams new tune as well (altho I love it), every man and their dog seems to be trying out different uses of it but in the end up all sounding the same.

Sorry, but I'll pass on this one. It's incredibly boring.

As a whole, Pryda is hit and miss for me (mostly miss). He has some good ideas with his tracks but he draws them out far too long to the point where I usually end up standing on the dancefloor going, "Alright, when's it going to change?" I liked Aftermath at first, then during the third time I spun it I looked down at my CDJ wondering how much longer I had left. It said ten minutes and that was when I realized how boring and unnecessarily long it was so I ejected the CD in the middle of the track, snapped it in half and haven't spun it since. The only tune of his that I've enjoyed for more than three or four listens has been Remember. Not only is it fun to spin, but he seems to have recognized that he didn't need to drag it out.

Oh, and his tracks sound too similar, at least to me.

Remember is definitely fun to spin live. Did it the first time today.

well this is the first song under the pryda alias I dont like that much, what a shame. actually i think it would be a pretty good song without that siren blaring around. it will probably grow on me though. I still love that Pryda sound.
